Office Portraits

Unique and personal artwork celebrating designers at an international agency.

We were commisioned to create some portrait Illustrations as part of a larger project to celerate certain staff members at an international design agency. Rather than photography, these painterly illustrations demonstrate how hand drawn work in a traditional style can add a human touch to a project.

3D visuals bring a remarkable sense of realism that immerses the viewer in a lifelike experience, allowing for a deeper connection to the subject matter. This three-dimensional representation captures intricate details such as shadows, textures, and lighting effects, which contribute to the overall authenticity of the visual. On the other hand, 2D visuals can evoke a distinct feeling of personality and charm that is often absent in their three-dimensional counterparts. The artistry involved in 2D design allows for a unique expression of creativity, where the use of color, line, and shape can convey emotions and narratives in a more stylized manner. The images created in 2D often focus on the essence of the individual depicted, highlighting their characteristics through various artistic techniques. For instance, the choice of clothing can reflect cultural backgrounds, personal styles, or even the mood of the character, while the pose can suggest attitude, confidence, or vulnerability. Moreover, the simplicity of 2D images can sometimes make them more relatable, as they often strip away the complexities of realism to focus on the core attributes of the subject. This can lead to a stronger emotional connection with the audience, as they may find themselves resonating with the stylized representations of characters that feel more approachable or familiar.
